Hello all,

I am taking a trip to Hawaii this winter after the holidays, which brings me to asking the board if anyone has any advice as to what Scuba company i should contact to schedule a day or two of diving.

I'd appreciate the input,

Thanks

On kona side I would recommend Jack's Diving Locker, on the Hilo side there isn't that much to choose from, but Nautilus Diving does some guided trips and will help you out with rentals if you choose to go out on you own.

Kona Diving Company for sure!! Kerry was amazing with a great staff! I just got back from 5 days of diving with them in Sep they were all top notch!

We used and liked Big Island Divers.

Wannadive gave us great service. Comfy boat with a small number of divers, and nice DM's.

Kona Diving Company all the way. Great boat, great people, great service, highly recommended!

Awwww, shucks. You like wreck diving I see (signature line) Why not Oahu?

Well in New Jersey it's more fun to view wrecks than the sand with poor vis. I am staying on the Big Island with a few friends so won't be able to visit any of the other islands unfortunately.

Also, how is the rental gear at these places? Only workable items I am bringing will be my fins and mask I believe.

We will be staying at Paniolo Greens in Waikoloa. Does anyone know what the closest dive operator there isÉ

Just got back from the Big Island a few weeks ago and also highly recommend Kona Diving Company. Loved the small dive groups and long dive times (had an 86 minute dive with them one day!).

Just a bunch of really nice people (felt like going out diving with friends every day).

Dont forget to do the Manta night dive at least once!

PS. For those interested in underwater photography, be sure to stop by Joshua Lambus's gallery in Kailua. He has some pretty amazing prints from black water Pelagic dives around the island
