If people keep posting about beer, I may be able to talk my husband into coming after all.
And - just 'cause I'm about bursting with self accomplishment - My daughter and I are officially certified Open Water divers as of Yesterday! We get to join in alllll the fun.
Whooo hoo!!! Congrats!

What time does the Saturday night dive occur? We'll need to save all this beer/rum libation until the post-dive review. :D

It is usually about 8PM or so..

:hm: Hmmmmmm, I might be awfully thirsty by the end of the dive. :D
it's a freshwater dive... :cool2:;):dork2:

Roxanne - we did both of our Open Waters at Weeki Wachee Springs. Clear, beautiful (once I relaxed enough to look around). Riki was touched by a Mermaid, so of course the magic of the water was blessed by an ambassador of the deep. Or at least - it was very cool. Looking forward to wild water, it kind of felt like a big Disney set with moss messy turtles.

That! - bring that beer! I'll bring some Maduro (from Tampa's Cigar City brewery), it has tons of flavor, but isn't so heavy that it can't convert at least a couple of Bud drinkers to the darker side.

I have had one 6-pack of Maduro. Mmm Mmm good. One of the more uniquely flavored beers that I have tried.

I haven't had time to brew lately, and I am out of Chinook hops, so I am all out of dark American Double IPA. If I can find some commercial stuff that comes close, I will try to bring some of that. Widmer's has something in that genre that isn't bad.
