Anti-fog formulae

When I travel I use the small complimentary tubes of tooth paste which my hotels provide, or the shampoo in the room. At home I use diluted shampoo or dish soap(brand is usually not important to me).

Was the bottle on the boat filled with a yellowish liquid?
I was on a boat once that had one like this.
Although, as I recall. It was for jellyfish stings.

For fog I usually pinch the edge seal of my mask by temples.
This allows a small amount of water into the mask.
Head movement sweeps water across fog.
Clears mask immediately, & as an added bonus.
I've never been to a dive and forgotten it.
Every divesite has plenty of it for $0.00 per barrel.

I use pure Johnsons & Johnsons alcohol will lead to rubber or silicone prematurely drying out, particularly from repeated or prolonged exposures.

Why not just spit in the mask, that works for most divers, always available, easy to use, Reliable and no formulae required.

I use 50/50 J&J/Alcohol. Spit if I forgot my bottle. But if you use spit, just do us all a favor and don't put the mask in the community rinse tank on the boat afterwards.
