I have never done this. Could someone give me an idea of what it is like (vis, how the dives work, how deep, etc)? It sounds interesting.
One additional note... Most diving is considered solo, because you are caught up in looking for teeth. If you have a problem, the usual answer is stand up... Since you are new (and let people know that you are new), most people who dive with you will show you your first tooth so you know what to look for. After that, you will be hooked for life!Just show up and join the fun. Meet some great people who all have a common interest - scuba diving. I cannot tell what viz is like right now but there is probably someone here who can but could be inches or feet. Depth is 15-25 feet. Pick a boat and time to get a space. A buddy would be great to have with you but sure there would be someone you could tag along with. Bring your beach chair, some food and drink - no alochol. FYI - food and drink is usally community fare. We all share with each other. This will be my second time for the beach bash and I would not miss it for anything. If I dont dive OK with me because of all the friends who are around.
