Air Fills - How Much Are You Paying?

The going rate in Monterey for a single fill is $6, although at least one shop charges $7.50 for HP (>3000 PSI) fills. Fill cards (typically for 10 or 20 fills) bring that down to $4.80 or $5 for LP/MP, or $6 for the one shop that normally charges $7.50 for HP. I'm in luck, as my local LDS has LP/MP fill cards at 12 fills/$30, or HP at 12/$36, i.e. $2.50 or $3/fill. This is the lowest price I know of in the S.F. Bay Area, and I generally just get an HP fill card and use it for all my tanks. Most other Bay Area shops come in at around $4-$4.50/fill with a fill card, or $5-$6 without.

Well, first off, why dive air when I can dive NITROX? My shop only charges for the amount of gas they fill, and price is the same for air, 32%, 36% or 40%.

So, an AL80 that I only used down halfway would only cost me around $4 to fill with 40%. But, if I purchase the virtual fill card, it's only around 9 cents per cubic foot.

One shop charge $3 for air, $7 for EAN32. Most charge $6 for air and $10 for EAN32. The most rediculous shop I have seen charge EAN32 by the number of cubic feet, I have my HP100 fill for EAN32 for $16

nothing! Nitrox 32 or air. I pay per cubic foot for 100% 02 into the deco tank. I haven't paid for much air in 18 years of diving.

I pay $5 or $8 for air, $13 for 32%, $15 for 36%.

My LDS charges $3 if your a member of the dive club, club cost $25 annually to join. I usually get 4 fills a week so it pays to be a club member.

You guys all suck . My local LDS charged me $10 last time they half filled my tanks with swamp gas.
