So is congratulations or so sorry in order?

Jet - I think that puffer is a Southern Puffer. I've seen them before at the bridge.

That juvenile blue angelfish you found is gorgeous!

Thanks Paul! KW (my marine biologist DB) also thought Southern.

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Tuesday I am starting back full time as a property manager. This will severely cut down on my bridge time.

"Property Manager" does not sound like a traditional Mo-Fri 9-5 job ... so maybe random week days off? Look on the bright side: front row parking every dive!

I am a Gemini so I can't decide either about what to say. So to our good frend Scott I wish you all the best & look at the bright side-for you more $ to buy new camera equipment & for me more room to maneuver! LOL!!! All kidding aside I hope you still get quality time at the bridge & post some pics to show us all how it is done!

Hey does anyone know if Force E is doing a night dive this weekend at the bridge?
I know their schedule is posted somewhere but I can't find it.
thanks gang.

High tide Sat is 6:15. I figure we can get a dive in and still be out of the park by 8:00 as long as we don't dilly-dally too much underwater. KW is visiting this weekend so I'll have my own personal marine biologist along.

Tried the bridge this morning. Entered just before low tide. Not tremendous viz, but not awful. Stayed out southwest. Plenty to see, and no particulates to screw up photography. Found my first pipefish.

Finally saw something inside one of those holes in the sand. Looking forward to looking at the pics (loading onto laptop as I type) so as to see if I can figure out what the creature is. Lobster came to mind as I viewed it through the viewfinder, but he would never come all the way out. Didn't seem to have Mantis Shrimp eyes.

Ran into several octos. Have to wonder now how many I've passed over in the past. They do blend in, don't they? :D None today looked as though their heads could squeeze into a standard-mouth beer bottle. Was busy shooting pics of a young Fringed Filefish on about an 18 inch diameter mass of sponge for probably five minutes before realizing there was an octopus up on top of the sponge watching me play. Hope some of the shots in which I tried to capture both of them in the same pic come out. The sponge also housed a little crab and a blenny and a bunch of other tiny stuff.

Tank's been refilled and batteries are recharging. Looking forward to another couple of hours of trolling in a little while. I just love this place. :D Planning to stay this trip through Monday morning.
