Why buy the expensive HD mask, with the over-priced filters, when you can simply upgrade your existing mask to that technology?

If you want to have the coolest 'HD' gear on the dive boat and be this season's scuba fashion icon.... this is your prime choice....it provides exactly the same function as the expensive HD Mask... you just fit it over your current mask... hey presto!

Also worth noting that the advertising is an outright lie. It CANT "replace" lost light or colour. Physically impossible. All filters do is REDUCE all the other light to attempt to balance a bit more. Result is less overall light so a dimmer view.

I just took the time to read back through all 1,000 replies and I think I wet myself! Haha. Thank you for the great feedback. While trying it on in the store, it seemed like a decent concept. I'll probably stick to proven technology until something is proven to be better.

The IDC Staff Instructor in my LDS wears one. He thinks that for shallower dives on Caribbean reefs it does make colours look more fibrant in a similar way to a red filter for an underwater camera.

But it does reduce overall light, so you wouldn't want to wear it too deep, or in situations where you are bringing down artificial light anyhow.
