Hi,

Just shopping around for a new camera. Has anyone bought from B & H? Are they legit? Just seems like they are alot cheaper then like everywhere. Thanks!

I have spent thousands at b&h. In my opinion they are fantastic. I bought a Canon 40d, an ikelite housing, a computer, a 70-200L series lens, a 20mm lens, a Canon 5d mk 2, etc...

You have no worries with B&H. Once you buy from them you get their catalogue which is huge.

Unlike a lot of mail order photo places in NY, B&H is a quality outfit. Never had a problem with them.

Anothe vote for B&H! I bought an Ikelite housing on clearance (saved $100 off their regular price which was already cheaper than anyone else's) and got a $25 gift card that I used on another purchase.

B&H is very legit. When one of my packages was damaged in shipping, they resolved the problem very quickly.

If you have a deadline, you need to be aware of Jewish holidays. It's an Orthodox Jewish company; they observe all Jewish holidays and Saturdays. Their offices are closed and their website will not accept orders on those days.

They are one of the oldest and most respected mail order camera shops around. They are always my first stop when shopping for camera equipment, no worries at all with B&H.

Been using them for a few years and my parents have been using them for a few decades... Quite legit. Also beware that their website is SLOW to load, not sure why, but it always takes forever
