Is the line knotted? Ive been toying the idea of going out to do the survey in the next week or 2.

Dont want to come over like your momma but are you deco certified? (maybe your profile is not up to date?? )

If you go to the end of the line and back you are looking at almost an hours deco using both 50% and 100% O2.

I'd like a line, knotted, or knot running back from a hard tie-off... what we put down is in temp state and we know the distance. The direct route has yet to be determined. It is a good shot west though and the next diver can pick up the two stakes on the line and move them out to secure what's there... that might be me, Fixxer, or whomever. We are knot far, need to secure what's there and just find suitable tie-off.

I'll remove the line myself if this becomes a pissing match on protocol... :shakehead:

I don't intend to claim anything... that's silly and frankly embarrassing. It's relatively limitless lake bottom, like thousands across the land

I'm having fun planning and making dives I enjoy, seeing what I haven't seen, and training in a challenging environment in a safe manor... If it's not safe enough for you, don't follow my line, and let me know. I'll put in a jump gap, say 50 feet, more fun...

Ian... Put a reg in it!

I thought this was a broad team effort and the work that has been done is so solid (other than the zig/zag) that I hoped to get to a hard tie off and run a straight line back. I will knot that line if you prefer.

I'm just messing with ya (and mainly poking fun at overly intense cave divers)

Its a great training exercise and a bunch of fun as well.

Easy guys I'm just picking, if its close to west I say stake it down and leave it, its hard to get good vis and laying line in bad vis is super slow, if 400' have been added I dont' care if its pink, stake it and keep it as long as its not going north or south.

The only correction I see at this point that is really NEEDED is the removal of the zag in the beginning, but I'd say save that for when the vis sucks again, or hell, mark it with a line arrow and run two lines like a T marked cave style and leave the zag and put in a straight shot so if you wanna piss around on the zig go left if you want a straight shot go right as long as home path is marked proper thats cool.

I'd like to create jumps off this thing in the future too, I think that would be cool.

speaking of deco, I've been hoping we'll get vis good enough that we can get down there with DPV's, zip to the end, lay line, zip back and keep the deco down as much as possible.

Anyone think the LCRA would have any info of what the otherside was like before it was flooded? we know WP side is loaded with trees, can we assume the same for the other side?
