Actually, if you go look at the lines that Leisure Pro reps now, most of their lines come with "full manufacturer warranty" as they are "Authorized Dealers" for most of the lines they rep.

More manufactures are joining the 21st century and making LP authorized. Aqualung is becoming the Kirby vacuum of diving.

I guess I am in the minority, I still prefer buying my gear from an LDS. I do however use scubatoys and leisurepro for research.

I prefer to buy LDS also, except mine (non-scubapro shop) is selling mainly discontinued items at retail. We buy something from almost every LDS we visit, but online is the reality.

Directly from DR website.... Basically same thing from Oceanic's website.

Leisure Pro Warning
TextLeisure Pro is not an authorized

Contraire, they are now Oceanic authorized, if you purchase over the telephone and not on the internet. They also will often give better pricing over the telephone. They are listed as authorized on Oceanic website (zip 10011) and they accepted the registration of items I purchased through LP.

Directly on Dive-rite's website and Oceanic's website, it specifically names Leisurepro as NOT AN AUTHORIZED dealer, and as such cannot offer you the lifetime warranties on your regulator gear purchases.

If you spend money, I think you should get the lifetime warranties.

Superlyte,

I didn't know about Dive Rite not being authorized (I was sure I'd missed some), but like Reef Tank said above, LP is an authorized dealer of Oceanic.

They have been for the past 2 or so years. (maybe 3). There are even threads about it on here in the past.

Here... you can check it yourself on Oceanic's Dealer Listing page

The lifetime warranties don't cost a thing. They are basically worth about $50 bucks per regulator per year.

It works like this. If you get your regulator serviced annually by an authorized dealer, you get free parts for the life of the regulator as long as you get it serviced every year +/- one month.

So... it's worth quite a bit. And it's free. I have 5 Oceanic Regulators. It's about $15 per stage in parts kits. So Figure about 13 stages every year x $15 bucks, it's quite a savings.
