Pulau Aur - New option to dive

Hi All,

Just wanted to let everybody know that there is now a new option available to all those that wish to dive Pulau Aur. At present, to dive Aur you need to either get a slow boat from Mersing, or travel overnight on a liveaboard out of Singapore.

Sari Pacifica on Sibu Island (Pulau Sibu) has just opened up a luxury resort with a dive shop attached. We are about to start a regular day trip service to Aur. Instead of being crammed onto a tiny liveaboard, guests can now arrive and stay in style, and get the 9am high speed dive boat out to Aur. You'll be enjoying your first dive by 10am. The day trips are a 3 tank dive with lunch included. You'll be back on land to enjoy the day spa, the pool, as well as a buffet dinner in the evening, and you can get a good night's sleep in one of the luxury suites. You'll wake up refreshed and ready to do it all again the next morning..... Your partner doesn't dive? Let him/her enjoy the resort whilst you enjoy the diving. Something for everybody....

Good luck with your new venture and I am sure it will appeal to some people. I would like to point out though that the Black Manta is hardly "roughing it" or "crams people onto a tiny liveaboard" (although we sometimes do put budget customers in crew accommodations for the popular weekend short trips!).

Hi Zippsy, No offense of any sort was meant I'm personally a big fan of live aboard's. I'm simply hoping to attract a different portion of the market......
Day trips kick off very shortly. Keep you all posted!!

Hi all,

The season draws to a close and unfortunately it does not look as if the dive boat will arrive in time to kick Pulau Aur off this year after all. Very dissapointing all round, but eveything should be in place by the start of next years season (March) to kick this weekly trip off. Keep in touch with the hotel for further updates

Interesting to know that there is this option to be able to do budget manta liveaboard in crew accom..... how to we go about it - i am keen for the 7 skies - LOL? so far black manta has been over budget for me at least.
