just wonderin if there was anyone around northeast al that dives looking to start diving again and i dont know anyone around here that does it since i moved back home.

I primarily dive in pelham at ABWA, if you're interested in checking out the quarry I would be happy to meet up with you there to dive

Madison Quarry just west of Huntsville will be opening May 1st, and you are more than welcome to come dive there as well. Im fairly certain we can find a dive buddy for you and if not... I have staff that are always trying to find a way to get in the water.

I'm from Oxford and have access to the quarry behind target. I'm also always needing a buddy to dive Pelham, now that they require you to have a dive buddy.

scubatodd i will try to get together soon i live in wellborn right off 202 and i didnt even know there was anything besides the creek behind target.

Didnt know there was anything back there myself, just looked at google maps and there it is

Yep that's it. I've been diving it for about a year now, and have pulled up a fishing rod, metal chair and a few fishing lures. There's the usual bass, brim, carp, turtles and a few beavers. Tons of little nooks and crannies. It gets pitch dark around 50 ft and the thermocline hits around 28 ft in the summer. Last time I dove it, the surface temp was 46 with no thermocline...all the fish were dormant.:(

I work for the water department, so that's the only reason I'm allowed out there to dive it.

how deep is it?
