I had a chance to look at and play with the new Atomics Aquatics dive computer at the German DIVE2010 last Saturday. It's a stunning piece of equipment, perfectly readable, compass works extremely well, and it's all very intuitive.

Any more info on when it will be available and at what cost? I'm looking to buy a computer but if this is going to be out before too long I may just wait on it.

It looks like a console mount unit from that photo. Any other info on the performance? Multi-gas, trimix? Algorithm? Air integration?

Darcy mentioned on Facebook that they are shooting for a late spring release and it is called "Cobalt" - at least for now.

I was disappointed to see that it did not wash down your dive gear at the end of the day or call ahead to the sushi place so that your favorite rolls were waiting for you when you walked in the door, but Atomic will probably make those features available in their Cobalt2 version

It seems to be a great computer. The only major downside is that it will only be offered in a console for right now. As an Atomic dealer I asked about the wrist and their focus at the moment is the console...NO possible time frame for a wrist insight!

Personally, I think I prefer the console format :)

Kinda surprising to me though if they have NO plans for a wrist version. hopefully the console is a hit and they then quickly turnaround a wrist version.
