Local quarry is about 20 minutes..Dutch Springs is about 1.5-2 hours away. (I won't go into how many miles it takes us to get to the Keys from here, but we've driven three times now, and I'm ready to do it again!)

What local diving? No LDS in town but there is a guy who fills tanks.

Local lakes are cold with poor vis but we sometimes dive them to get wet.......

We will be joining Petunia, Fish, Sas and others next week in Australia though - whooo hooo!

20-60 minutes for the loin's share of my diving.

This pole is showing one or several things
1. Most divers are near water
2. Most respondents like to rub their proximity to water in the face of less fortunate divers.
3. Less fortunate divers find it depressing to respond to

LDS is about 100ft from my house.
One of the best shore dives on Vancouver Island about 15 minute drive.

A forty minute drive to the Gulf of Mexico. Then a 2 hour boat ride to 50 miles out (to blue water). Water off the Louisiana coast is like chocolate milk, thanks to all the silt from the Mississippi River.

Greetings bleeb and I routinely drive to Gilboa Quarry about 1:20 , Portage Quarry about 1:50, northern lakes in IN. about 1:45.
Pool training is in Ft.Wayne about 50 min. along with the LDS.
I have become used to traveling at least an hour to dive it gives me time to think through the dive plans and make adjustments as well as questions.
Road time is a occupational way of life for me so I am very used to it.
CamG Keep diving,,,,keep training....keep learning!

The closest place for me to dive is about a 15-20 minute drive. It's a lake so we' only see small fishes, crayfish, pike (some quite large) and Carp

The next closest is about 40min and is better for deep diving but doesn't have a lot of life in it aside from some crabs, small fishes and eels.

After that it's 1-1/2 hours to get to the places with abundant life.
