Well, my VOLS came up short. They made a battle of it. Sure wish we could have made one of those three field goals. :shakehead: I still think they are right on the edge and are not being given the credit they are due, or Bama is over-rated. They will be someone to reckon with in the coming years, IMO.

well Alabama definately didn't play well last night.

It was Tennessee's game to win. Tenn has 2-3 blocked/missed kicks that if they had of made, they would have definately won the game.

It would have been a HUGE upset if they would have beaten the TIDE. It's clear to me that Bama thought this would be an easy win and didn't adequately prepare for this game.

Rhone Man is right that although they weren't victories, they played very well against the two top teams in the Nation.

IN OTHER SEC TEAMS. FLorida won, but Miss State held up good against them. I was impressed in how well they played.

Also notable is that Tebow tided Herschel Walkers record for number of career rushing touchdowns at 49. With several games left in the season, I'm sure Tebow will surpass that record.

Auburn played pitiful. I mean they just just still had their tails between their legs from their last 2 disappointing loses. They clearly didn't have any will power in the game until the last run when it was their only TD against LSU.

As for Georgia..... at least this past week Chip can be happy that UGA didn't loose :D

I cannot exactly figure out if the SEC is a good conference this year, or a fair conference this year.
Florida does not seem to have the strength and explosiveness I have grown to expect on the offensive side every year.
Alabama, while undefeated, is not pounding the better SEC teams.
I look at Ole' Miss, and Tennesee, and even Vandy, and I think I am seeing some parity here.
I am an LSU fan first, Florida second.
I think if LSU actually had an offense this year they would very possibly be at the top of the heap.
They seem to me to have the toughest defense in the conference.
At the beginning of the year I said that the Natl. Championship was going to be Texas against UF or 'Bama.
I am not so sure that Texas will not falter withj a silly loss. and their weak schedules is working against them.
USC or some other western team could easily land in the big game I am thinking.
Just me talking out loud....
Whatever.
Another BCS Championship for the SEC might cause the rest of the country to slit their wrists.
It is so time for a playoff system...blah..blah...blah...
Chug

back on subject of the Florida game, ref's sure missed that touchdown call. Florida dropped the ball before going into the endzone. (a little pre mature touchdown show-boating was the cause).

But I can't believe that the refs missed it, even after ESPN easily showed it. :shakehead:

(I don't think it would have changed the outcome of the game though).

I'm trying to find the video coverage on Youtube that showed it. I'm just surprised it wasn't overturned. (not that Florida wouldn't have scored anyway from the 1-2 yardline on the next play).

speaking of video's.... gotta love some of the LSU fans in last nights game.

Florida regained top spot in the AP this week from Alabama. I figured they would after the "lackluster" performance by Bama yesterday

AP Top 25

Funny thing about this table is USC being ranked fourth. They were previously ranked 4th and lost a game and everyone said they were out of it. None of the three above have lost, so actually it doesn't seem to have made any difference at all. I have a sneaking feeling USC might benefit from a couple of upsets and creep into the title game.

Can you believe it? My 9 year old nephew, thanks to Tebow, wants to attend the University of Florida. Even had to stop on the way back from Disney World.

Monica:crying2:
Go VOLS!!!!

Boston College got a similar enrolment lift from Doug Flutie. Now they will call in the "Tebow" effect instead of the "Flutie" effect.

After all the increase in sales of Alabama memorabillia, season tickets, university donations, and higher enrollment, they said the same thing about "the Saban effect" in Tuscaloosa.

The increase in just memorabilia sales alone has been enough to pay Saban's $4million/year salary.
