So far they have quoted me the $80.50 per diver. Send me a PM Krak on how I should go about getting a better price. I never had the pleasure of booking so many divers before. :)

Call down there under a pseudonym and ask how much it costs to charter the boat for a day for 2 off shore dives. They should quote a flat rate.

At that point you have some bargaining leverage if the cost per diver exceeds a prorated individual diver rate.

WOW ...having the one an only Mr. Scubaboard.. Netdoc on board is just fantastic. I think Carolyn really deserves kudos and great big thanks from all of us for all the work she does every year on getting this gig up and running.

I called and inquired about privately chartering the boat for two offshore dives and they didn't want to give me a flat rate. Possibly someone more persuasive and experienced could nail them down if necessary. The price they quoted me was $89ea for 2 tank offshore and $109 for a 3 tank. Looks like Carolyn shaved a good amount off the price I was quoted. Good job!

Thanks y'all. I am very excited to have such a big group this year! It's definitely going to be a fun dive! So far the marine forecast is calling for waves about 2-3'. Chance of rain...but we can hold out for a good weekend!

If anyone's prone to sea sickness I'll offer this advice: Take preventative measures BEFORE stepping foot on the boat. It seems to make a difference.

That said, I'll take 2-3s any day of the week as long as it doesn't rain. I don't want my hair getting wet before a dive :D

I already bought a box of ginger root pills. My last trip out with 5' swells was not vety kind to me.

Tips on best sea sickness aids / pills? I've been in 5 foot rollers before and was starting to get a little green but fortunately focused on the horizon and it cleared up.. Would rather be safe than sorry..
