I bought a new rec wing with redundant bladder a couple of months ago. I am waiting for my first set of double 72's to be put together. In the meantime I am diving single al80 with a STA. I find the wing tacos really bad so I zip tied the rings and plastic brackets to my back plate. I can't figure out how/if I can adjust the bungee cord to eliminate this. is there any problem doing this?

Just tighten the bungee cord. That's what it's for. Pull it at the two ends, like you're tightening the drawstring on a pair of swim trunks, and clip the two ends off.

since I bought the wing both ends of the bungee were stuck in the last sleeve they are threaded through. I thought they were made that way. I had to dig them out, they were really wedged in. My final question, what do they clip off to: each other , one of the rings, the back plate, does it matter? Thanks for your help.

Dive rite makes a clip system where you connect the clip to the small fabric flap that is next to the bottom bungie guide on each side of the wing. You then thread a small plastic D-ring like piece onto your waist strap webbing and then clip the wing to that. The effect is to pull the bottom sides of the wing to your waist, thereby eliminating the "dreaded taco". I bought a rec wing off the board last year and the folks at DR were kind enough to send me on of the kits free of charge! Hope this helps.
