I just went online and found cactus juice. Sounds like this stuff will make you run faster, jump higher, dive deeper and come up drier and not only that it smells good!

It seems there's at least local dive shop that sells CJ around me. Just not sure if we're going to have any problems with airlines as we'll be carrying 5 different kinds of repellents with us...

Is there any point in bringing that stuff with us? I read its being sold at the resort...

Never hurts to throw a bottle or two in your checked bag just in case ;)

All destinations on Roatan are different.

I put the stuff on before getting off the plane. Often, it is the worst exposure I'll suffer all week. We carry-on a tiny pump bottle of OFF.

I ordered a package online before we went and packed the big bottles in with dive gear (no problem) and packed the small bottle in my carryon with my deod and toothpaste. I would hate to get down there and find out they were out of it!
Cactus Juice

I recently bought another package from them, the 3-pk of spray bottles. I actually use it here at home when I am going to be near water just to keep the bugs away. I think it works well and I love the smell, unlike the OFF and other toxic stuff. I have sensitive skin and most repellants burn, CJ doesn't!

robin:D

What is the common cost for shark dives at AKR and elsewhere on the island? Any point in doing the dolphin dive - this dive get mixed reviews...Thanks.

I was going to put some in the checked bags and then put a small bottle in carry on because Roatanman said he puts in on before he gets off the plan.

At Wiahuka Shark Dives Book a Shark Dive in Roatan , they charge cruise ship guests $120 including transportation. Shark dive shore excursion in Roatan Honduras for cruise ship visitors

AKR charges $100 Roatan Diving, Scuba Roatan - Anthony's Key Resort Shark Dive | Anthony's Key Resort I don't know if they are doing the dives with AKR boats, but that would be a very, very long ride to get there. Maybe the roll it into the Mary's Place Dive which is a few minutes further on down East along the Southern shore. AKR has, at one time, simply resold the Waihuka Shark Dive Package. I would prefer to cab it over and do the dive from that shore base.

The "Dive", IMnSHO is really a no big deal. If you want to play nice and all touchy feely with Flipper, do the Dolphin Snorkel You'll have a better interaction at a major lower cost.

Or... see them in the wild off of Iron Shore (First Bight) along the South shore.

Cutters Advanced also makes small 1oz pump spray...I always carry one in my bag...and usually spray once I get off the plane...I use Cactus Juice during the week as well....
