I just bought a Galileo Sol and for the price...even for the deal I got a warranty is the best way to go! it would be nice for Scubapro to offer and extended warranty.
it cost me $150.00 to get my Smart com fixed an its only three years old!

Well, I'll be dropping mine at Aquarius Dive shop as the Sol does not work under water!

Dane can you tell a little more about your computer? you have me worried now!! LOL

Just got back from Bahamas, lost the signal after hitting the water on my first 2 dives, I am now fairly convinced that there is some kind of antenna issue as it reads fine on the surface. Switched to a SPG and dove the rest of the week without a hitch. I'll let you guys know what the outcome is after I send it in.

Was the diving good at least?

Regards
Richard

Well, if you have the transmitter on the same side as your computer... and it works in air, but not in water - there may be something wrong..

I tried setting my second transmitter up on a friends regulator... getting data was hit or miss at best, depending on how close and in what position they were.. was surprised that some locations did not work, that I would have expected to work. It could the some of us are just lucky as to where the transmitter ends up being...and where we put the computer.

If you read my original post you'll see that it was working without a hitch.

You may attempt to pair the transmitter and the computer again since it was moved. If the sending unit is on the same side as the computer things should work. I have heard some people indicate that they have raised their tank height just a little and that solved the issue. Worth a try at least. I got in the pool today and checked out some different configurations. If the unit is on the far side of the 1st stage (Right side) and the computer is on the left arm I experienced one event of lost signal.... if I hold my arm up (2 to 3 feet from the transmitter) the unit starts receiving after a few seconds... I think the manual states that it updates every 4 seconds. The only other issue was when I placed the tank real low.... I think the transmitter has difficulty penetrating my body mass.... of course I am a large fellow.... but all of these items are also in the troubleshooting part of the user manual.... Either way if you are still having issues ScubaPro has always been good to me. Never had any issues.....
