If one is diving on the lee side of the Island, which body of water are you in?

Nope, that starts north of Cancun, which itself is still on the Caribbean. BTW, I think the sides of Cozumel are common called the Channel side and the Ocean side. Lee side depend on which way the wind is from that day. And contrary to what Google maps shows, there is not a bridge from San Miguel to Play del Carmen.Doesn't matter which side of the island you are on you will not be in the Gulf of Mexico.

Flower Gardens, Louisiana Rigs, Tampa FL, Kings Bay FL, Pensacola FL, Venice Beach FL, Key West, maybe some places off of Mississippi & Alabama, and Cuba if you can get away with it. Just not Cozumel or Cancun - unless you get lost and ride the current a lonnnng ways.Thanks....guess if I want to dive "The Gulf" I gotta to to the Flower Gardens![]()
