We are arriving on June 9th for a week. Has anyone had issues lately with sea lice or thimble jellies?

I think so! I'll get the heck bit out of me, and the DH will have one or two tiny bites. Doesn't seem fair! The one reason my husband wears a wet suit is because of sea lice. He still gets bit. Vinegar and ice seem to work best for him. Knock on wood, I never seem to have a big problem with them. They must be very discriminating!
WHAT?? What the heck are Sea Lice? :scared:
I think so! I'll get the heck bit out of me, and the DH will have one or two tiny bites. Doesn't seem fair!I find Benadryl spray or gel will work pretty well, haven't had much luch with the vinegar. Hadn't thought about using ice ...
Yeah .. I have Sea Safe as well, but don't always remember to put it on! :depressed: They nailed me once so bad on a trip to Bonaire I had to finally go see a Dr. as the itching was driving me nuts. They ended up giving me perscription Benadryl ointment. So now I make sure I have the spray & the gel with me. The spray gives relief pretty well and the gel forms a coating that stops the itching for a while. I may have to check into Deborah's trick with the hairspray! He keeps "Sea Safe" in his dive bag as well to help prevent stings.
