based on this thread I decided to check my SFO-CZM r/t tickets I bought last week for $297.50 per person.

I am happy to report the very same flights are now $398 pp. :mooner:

Wow...my $298 + taxes from Colorado Springs to Cozumel is up to $698 plus taxes. Youch!!!

In those cases, couldn't you just get the online boarding passes and then just jump on the second flight out of Chicago? :crafty:
Nope, they're quite onto that. If you don't make the first leg, you're a no show, canceling your trip without refund or value. If you had no luggage, you might get away with taking a bus to Milwaukee for the first leg, but not bothering to take the last leg back to Milwaukee - but there might even be ticket contract problems with that.

Great! :thumb: I suspect that this sale may just be for filling empty seats on certain flights or dates. Glad to see that some above found deals.

I sure hope you had already purchased your airfare.
Surely she had, since she's been making all sorts of plans.

I agree. We are paying $162.00 RT from Cols Ohio, with a stop in Houston and on to Coz. You guys are paying more just from Houston for the same flight.

Good prices for sure!!! :)
Going to do Whale Sharks and dive a few days with Aldora.

Are the whale sharks in that early? I was thinking more like August. I'm gonna look for flights to Cancun in July if the whale sharks are there. Already going to Coz in August, but with the cheap fares it pays to check things out.

We just booked 6 nights at Casa Mexicana + airfare from Denver via DFW for $750. That's $125 a night for the two of us, all in - there are some great deals out there!

Total price per person, non-stop ORD-CUN, came out to $253.53 with all taxes. Best fare I've ever seen down there. I'll save my miles for when the prices go up.

I sure hope the whale sharks show up because there is a festival for them;):
Welcome to Whale Shark Festival 2009| Isla Mujeres, Mexico
The whale shark season is from June-September.
Whale Sharks Tours on Isla Mujeres Mexico
I was talking to Kay who lived on Cozumel for years running Villa Aldora... She said they should be in large numbers that time of year. Some one just needs to let the whale sharks know. I can't wait.

Edit for clarity:
Just north Cancun City is Puerto Juares. That is where you can get on a ferry to a small island, Isla Mujeres. There are supposed to be whale sharks in the water somewhere near the island. I'll let everyone know how it was when I get back.

Care is being taken to not make the Dominoes feel threatened so if it's anything like last year - Wow! Their migration there has only been known to the outside world for a few years, but quite an industry has developed around swimming with them.

July & August are the best months. Get in shape; you'll need it to keep up with them. You know they're not at Coz, but between Cancun and Holbox, easiest accessed from Holbox. Driving there was such a hoot, tho. I need to post my own how-to version of that. :rofl3:
