I think maybe he mean plus $100 taxes & fees = less than $300, still a great deal. I've spent twice that much on tickets from Lubbock.

You found air up for Oct? These prices includes taxes & fees, click to enlarge...

Delta/Northwest are merging and overhauling their system. Hope to see better fares from them soon. They are finally back in Lubbock after years without them!

LOL, where in the world are you finding those prices? Nothing like what I am finding. TIA

$968 is the cheapest Cont has unless you want a 19 to 25 hr. layover which is what that super cheap rate quoted is offering

Sidestep.com - check the boxes below so it will run searches on those sites, too.

If you shop Continental.com it will save your IP from the cookies on your puter and try to trick you into higher fares. Took me a while to learn that. Once you find the fare you want on Sidestep, it will usually link you to that itinerary on Continental.com at the lower fares in spite of cookies and tricks.

What dates do you want? Let me show you more tricks...!

These include flights, hotel for a week, and I think all taxes and fees...

Thanks to this thread it looks like we're heading back down in late July. We can get round trip air, 7 nights at Blue Angel with their dive package and many meals included for $1,900 flying direct into Coz. Sweet deal that we can't pass up! Thanks for the heads up.

LOL- your "he" is a she and yes it was $162.00+tax RT from Cols and unfortunately I already had two trips booked in August and Dec. before the great prices came out this week. The big surprise was the $700 per person total for air and Iberostar AI for a week. It costs almost that to eat/drink a week at home. :D
I am thinking about the whale sharks in July now that I got the info on them. thanks Don.

Sorry, couldn't tell from your lack of face. :D

Hey, it'd be worth the trip to fly to Cancun, drive over to the Holbox ferry, stay there for the weekend and swim with them two days. I need to write up that how-to-get there soon. The freeway does not go there at all...!

Okaaaay, let's see what I can do. Be careful; some of these include $100+ Taxes&Fees, some are Plus $100+ T&F! You can clear Continental.com cookies to try search again, or use a proxie search site like Sidestep.com, but I just made Platinum so they shouldn't hide fares from me when I log in. Ah Ha! That dates are a problem indeed - $378+T&F...

But let's look at nearby airports? :hmmm: You could get those dates for $179+TF from Wichita-CZM, or $198+T&F TUL-Cancun. Interested in those...?

I also had Sidestep check all airlines, Orbitz, Vayama, Pricelines, Travelocity, and Experida - something you could also easily try. Some of them failed, wanting $484 Including T&F and/or overnight in Houston  but Sidestep says that American will do it for less same day. Why didn't the others know that? Went to American and yep...!

But before we quit Continental, let's see what they'd do on other dates? This is going to stretch the thread but I don't want to make the print too small. Like any of those dates? Fares are plus T&F...

Finally, I had Sidestep try Vacation Packages, and this is going on too much, but you could try that. Check all the Search boxes on the bottom, but be careful about some sneaking in extra fees - watch your bottom line!
Hotwire will do Air, Villablanca, T&F included: $498 - others hotels higher;

Travelocity wanted $663 for what Hotwire wanted $498 - Adios!

Bookit.com is such a cheat. They offered a hot deal for $481 each/$962 for two, but they tried to sneak in Mandatory airport or government taxes & fees (per person) $171.33 - someone needs to sue them!
Try Sidestep Vacations tab, look carefully at other hotels. If you have difficulty finding those $498 Air & Hotel T&F included, try American Air and their vacation packages.
