Something you said dear?

Hi liv glad you got to do something to help. There is something more satisfying about DOING something over GIVING something!

Hope you haven't overdone it tho. Haven't seen anything from Sas here... will have to check her other hang outs!

Great idea putting something in the forum for good causes... this is certainly one!

Sas posted in the Australia diving thread I saw. I hope all is okay though as those fires are getting up again tonight.

It was traumatic today, but I feel like I helped even if it was minuscule.

Yes, though not many people have checked it out. Ah well, every cent counts though.

How was work?

Not bad.. only 6 students but non have taken OFA or ALS before. One with learning disability.

First time I have done a class with the new approach. Someone else teaches Day 1 which is a refresher for Senior First Aid (we have a lot of trainers qualified to teach that) then me teaching Day 2 (Advanced Life Support) Day 3 (Advanced First Aid) and Day 4 (Occupational First Aid) We have been doing this module format for a while but normally I teach all 4 days. With me now part time supposed to work only 2 or 3 days a week they are having someone else do the first day.

We'll see how it works out. I have to confess that my pack is pretty bad tonight. Oh well. Working at finding ways I can still teach as much as I can without making things worse. My hand isn't too bad and knees are tolerable... so hey better... mush better than when I was full time! Just hard to accept the limitations... ask fish.. he will tell you I am pretty pig headed about doing stuff...

I need tiggrr... :crying:

Yes, it must feel a bit disjointed right now, not doing the first day. Teaching students with a disability can be a challenge but usually very rewarding I found.

Tiggrr will be back, she went to make some more cupcakes.

I reckon we should make Tig an honorary Aussie.

:D Cause she just about operates on our time zone

I second that! :D

I third that!

You cobber's just made my day!!:dance3:

(hope I said that right)

No they were taken by various people in Adelaide and over here in the heatwave. They were extremely distressed in the heat and people were rescuing them and cooling them down to save them. This one fell asleep after drinking the water in the container and sitting in what was left.

Still the cutest picture.
What was that other tiny animal in the pic with the hot fireman???

Yes, filling the cupcakes. The filling turned out a little thin. Threw it in the freezer to see if that would help.
