so. more time to be on Scubaboard and youtube??

What do you do all day then???

Well ... what I have been doing is taking all my paper dive logs and putting that information into my electronic log book ... have just put in basic info like date, divesite, depth, time ... started putting other stuff like equipment and remarks, but gave up as my early log books dont have a lot of that info recorded.

Unfortunately SB seems to be a little slow ... I prefer when there are lots of people (like in the MOF) ... I find that easier.

I am glad to hear you are getting better and still not smoking ... it is an achievment well worth the struggle.

That sounds like a perfect way to help time go by. :)

Thanx. I'm really happy I quit too.

Phil's cooking tastes better. :rofl3:

Boring.

Work is slow for me too. I am spending a lot of time marketing and its exhausting while I am sick.
I started working for myself in a new city a few months ago. I don't really know anyone in this town but, that's how it was when I started my last job 8 years ago. I really like the challenge. I just have a lot of obsticles at the moment.

I am also patiently waiting to get better so I can finally try the new drysuit gosh-darn-it!!

Boring .... lol

At least we have along weekend coming up ... Australia Day holiday ... 3 days off, so will get in a few more dives.

How long have you been out of the water, and when do you think you will be able to dive again?

Where were you before you moved to Michigan? ... I just looked at google maps Michigan is almost surrounded by water, I knew it was near the great lakes, but didn't know exactly where ... my geography is not too good.

I did notice that you are not too far from Thunder Bay ... that is where Petunia was originally from

Better stop ... this is beginning to sound like the Spanish Inquisition.

I've been out of the water since December 22. We were in FL for a long weekend. That's when I started to get sick. At least I got 2 dives in.....

We're going to the pool tomorrow but, I won't be getting in. We'll be hooking up with some dive buddies we met last summer. Going out to dinner afterwards. I can't wait, they are super fun. ha Met them here on Scubaboard. :)

I have another 2 weeks or so before I feel comfortable getting in the pool. Gotta learn that drysuit dammit!! Then, I want to dive the St Clair River. There are some cool wrecks and stuff you can find like pipes and bottles. And its diveable year round.

I'm from Michigan...born and raised. Some day I'll migrate south...2 years or so. We have a lot of small lakes around the area we live. And then we spend a LOT of time on Lake Huron. There are tons of Shipwrecks in all of the Great Lakes. In fact the huge Shipwreck show is next month. And then there is the Our World Underwater show in Chicago.

See, lots of scuba to keep us busy.

I probably wouldn't go to either show if they were in the summer. :)

Petunia believes if she doesn't dive for two weeks she is going to die ...

Just had a look where the St Clair River is ... do you need to carry your passport when you dive there? do they have border guards at the dive site.

That would be so cool just crossing the river and being in another country ... of course we don't have that opportunity here.

If you cross the border do you log it as two dives or one??? ... guess it would be a long way from one side of the river to the other

You get to learn all sorts of things on SB, not only about diving.

Why do you think I'm suffering?????? I feel the same way!!! :D:D:D

Well, just chatted Phil up about this and he says that officially you can easily cross the river on 1 tank. Technically the coast guard may stop you and you would need your passport. There are charters that go from MI to wrecks in Canadian water and you are required to carry a passport.

IF you were to go from one side to the other....in my eyes you could log it as 4 total. There's a bit of current and in the end could travel a mile or so. Heck, log it at 5 just because you are glad to be back in Michigan!! :D Phil says its close enough to go both ways on 1 tank. 5 dives on 1 tank. Not bad. There is one exit point that is a wall with a ladder. So, you climb 6-8ft up this ladder with full gear on. That would suck in doubles.

The coolest thing about crossing the border is how clean the Canadian side is.

Just think how you will feel when you are able to get back in the water, there will be no stopping you.

dont let them know that though
