Paul Watson needs arresting; he is breaking international marttime law and recklessly endangering peoples lives.

Obviously he has no evidence that the Japanese were fishing in the Australian waters otherwise he would have presented it.

darwin award winner in the making. . .

Anyway I think we should just arm both sides with guns, 20mm should be big enough, that way they both have a fair chance. . .

If the Japanese were left unchallenged, what would be next?
What if they decided they wanted to hunt whales off the coast
of Hawaii? Would we find that acceptable?

The government should help patrol the waters. Having laws that are not enforced is a waste of a law.

What government would that be?

Unfortunately there is no oversight from any meaningful government or agency. The IWC is as X said, toothless and sorely in need of a dentist. Paul Watson is acting out of frustration to help protect the whales and to bring world attention to their plight. Unfortunately, Paul's methods are stupid, dangerous and deceptive.

The Whale Wars show has acted, at least from my point view, to reveal just how inadequate and impotent his actions are. On the flip side, I think the show reveals the need for better and stronger regulations on the taking of whales in the Southern Ocean.

In any event, the whales should benefit from the exposure.

The Japanese fleet have to be held accountable. It's great that Green Peace is doing something to make a difference. Why won't other countries join their fight and protect the whales? They can't do the fight by themselves. But they are doing a great job.

They may be, I don't know how effective they are but Green Peace is not Sea Sheapard. They are not the same group in any way.

Paul Watson is only trying to get funding. The whalers are working and a right to do so. The so called cappy has no regard for your life, do a little search on the net you might be surprised at what he though about 911, fishermen that died after his attacts and loggers cutting down trees......

Your right the whalers are permitted to work. They are also allowed to harvest/hunt a certain amount of whales. They are not following the laws. And yes Paul would need funding, their are cost for protection. Again the laws should be enforced more.

I pcked up a DVD at the local library entitled,"Shark Mountain".
Awesome......the only part that pissed me off was the Taiwanese shark fisherman who had built a wall to shield the operation but the videographer managed to get some video of them finning the sharks.
Very sad........frustrating.
