We're competitive with your prices and everybody elses. Yes we are limited in
how much we can discount Scubapro but we make up for it by throwing in free
items and classes etc. It's not that difficult to get around and not violate your
dealer agreements. But you know all too well about violating dealer agreements
with bogus information like "demos" and on ebay you list the item as "used"
and in the fine print it says "this item is new right out of the box". Seems a
little unethical - don't you think?

Oh btw,
What happened to your Deep See line?
You said you haven't had any lines pulled.
That's a bold faced lie.

Hey Ken,
Why don't you just run a non-profit charity dive shop for disadvantaged scuba divers?

That is actually a very good idea... I am considering it... since unlike you I could afford to do it.

...and yes, Deep See did stop doing business with us... and I'm still not sure why. I have not been given a reason - I'm sure you complained about something to trigger it - but since we never listed their items on-line and never advertised them - it wasn't due to MAP violations... and if it were, I'd be proud to say we went down fighting for the consumers.

Tell me this... Why is OMS trying to get me to carry their product. Are sales down?

Is your shop still up for sale on Craigslist?
How do you know what we can or cannot afford?
I didn't complain to Deepsee, so I guess someone else did.
So you're saying they pulled your line for no good reason? Really.
Will you be sueing?
Dive Reps need to make a living selling product and we could
care less if you carry OMS.

If the scuba retail markets were not so heavily manipulated by the manufacturers, cdreamer and offthewall1 could be in price (value) competition rather than what we have now. May the better retailer win.

I concur completely... Thanks for the post!

To me, it looks like a Baltimore area scuba food fight! lol

Obviously Ken has more time on his hands than I do.
We actually teach classes regularly and contribute to
the industry rather than just sell cheap crap on the
internet.
