Okay, just got in from the am trip... It's kinda rough, 3-5' vis is still about 50' moderate to strong north current. I borrowed a camera from the dive shop to see how it works. I'm not sure if the pics came out okay or not, I'll try to post them later on. Gotta get back out there.

Kevin,
What's the latest with Hurricane Hanna? I was very much looking forward to diving with you Thursday on the morning dive, but now it looks like conditions might be too poor :depressed:

I am here on vacation this week and was hoping to get some diving in. It does not look too likely. Is there anybody going out anytime between wed-Fri? I am guessing not since it does not look like conditons are improving.

Yeah, it's not looking pretty right now, but hey! You never know. I've seen stranger things happen. I guess just keep your fingers crossed.

I do have a couple of pictures from the weekend, but I was testing out a camera that belongs to the dive shot so I wasn't snapping away as much as I do with my old familiar one. I'll see if I can find a pic or two that demonstrates what the water was like. It wasn't bad though... viz was about 50'.

I forgot to turn on my strobes!

I usually take a picture of one of these sponges in the beginning of the dive to figure out my strobe settings.

There were still some lobsters around!

The Gothic Grunt made it safely through Fay.

Sorry, but at the moment it doesn't look like it. If Hanna would just wander off in some other direction, we'd be in business!

Kev,

IF we do get on on the all day Saturday trip (9/6), what is the plan ?? Need to get my tank mixes situated. Thanks!

A tank of 32 and three 36s will probably be 'bout right. We can hit the Castor to check out the jewfish aggregation that's happening right now if the storms don't have them freaked out. And then we can watch Hello Kitty chase bugs around the reef for the next three dives. Maybe we'll get lucky and see him catch one :D

(the role of Hello Kitty will be played by an open circuit diver on Saturday)
