Nemrod,

Nice pictures and they represent my home town well! Do your remember where the picture with all the Urchins were taken? Just wondering.

Glen, there are several large concentrations of urchins in the sand hollows along the hull of the liberty ship Thomas Hayward. The sand hollows are near the stern and west side I think. The hollows are washed from the current, one is probably an easy ten feet deep, at least it looks that way.

I like simple shots like that. I still have a lot of places around here yet to dive. We have no shortage of urchins here on the Gulf Coast, that is for sure. Just kind of nice to see them all lined up like that.

I need to get out of the Pensacola/Orange Beach area for a few dives over in the Destin area this summer.

I loved the ladies at Scuba Tech...really nice people!!

Can't wait to see them again in a couple weeks!

Come on Walter....but be careful, once you have crossed over to the dark side (that would be the Okaloosa County line) you may never want to go back!:D

I'd also have to wonder why they'd be afraid to take their complaints public. Perhaps it's because they caused their own problem and their complaint is really just sour grapes (which I believe turns into whine after fermenting).

Or maybe they don't want the "other" side have a chance to tell their story? It's easier to badmouth someone behind their backs, where you don't have to back up your allegations.

Please note that none of my posts are pro or con to any of the shops. I simply am showing what one might expect to see in the Panhandle Gulf regardless of who the OP chooses to go out with. Frankly, I prefer Nemrod's Scuba Shack and Charter Service, I am the captain, the DM and the customer.

That is probably the best way to enjoy gulf diving.:D

I really had no desire to get another boat...upkeep, storage, maint, etc, etc. But, since I started diving again...the idea of a boat just keeps getting better and better.
