I can only speak for myself.

But it can be curiosity (picture? new info etc.) or the need to get some background info to better answer a question.

I usually go to someone's profile when either I am trying to decide how to pitch a response to one of their posts, or to look at someone's history to understand their viewpoint better.

I actually find it kind of interesting to look and see who's looked at mine. Sometimes I can't figure out WHY they would have done it, but it doesn't bother me.

help.. I can see who looked at others members profiles, but I can't see who looked at mine. Is that the way it's supposed to work???

Beats me. But I just looked at your profile. I see you haven't made any friends yet; at least according to the blurb there. :)

In case you're wondering, I looked at yours because I see you live in Woodinville. I used to live in Bothell.

My main reasons for looking at someone’s profile are:

1. They posted an interesting post and I want to check out what their background is
2. They posted an outrageous post and I want to check what their background is
3. Someone whose post I am about to respond to
4. Someone posts something about my geographical area or seems to be from my area (so I check it’s not my neighbour :D)
5. To check when someone’s been online last – this goes for people I know and correspond with (to check if they maybe got my PM/msg yet or have vanished)
6. Someone with cool avatar or photos in their posts to see if they have more on their profile page

Sometimes I accidentally detour onto profile page when I missed the function “find more posts by..” with people whose pages I have already visited…

No one is going to admit to looking for pretty pics...? :silly:

I think looking at a profile is all part f the process, you look at profile before you answer their post or if you want to engage them in any conversation. I like the feature

Could that be because I'm not buying any beer yet? :crafty:
OK OK .. I better hop over to the pub and buy a round of virtual beer.. virtual beer on me!

You know when it was called "Buddies" I thought it was about getting a dive buddy online if ya needed one. Made sense to me.

That can be arranged... :)

How does stalker fear come into play? How would I be stalked…how is this making it different? Public is public, hello. What am I so naïve about?
