I'd kinda like that Easter Bunny cake that PHD sent the pics of :rofl3:

Shut up Mike!!!! That info is on a need to know basis....and no one else needs to know....;)

Okay just to clarify since I didn't do such a good job of it Friday night when I made the previous post.....(I will learn one day to "Just Say No" to drinking and posting) ....I WAS NOT IN THE PIC!!!!!!!!!! I was only subjected to looking at it because PHD emailed it to Mike and me. It gives a whole new meaning to the word Playboy bunny.:shakehead:

Happy Birthday today Mike. Here is your Birthday Thread...and good luck on getting what you wanted for your birthday...;)

Hey Guys,

I haven't been online in a while so I just wanted to check in and give you all an update since most of my Southern dive buddies are on here. The rest are in San Diego!

As some of you know I have been planning on moving back to my hometown in Virginia. We finally got moved this month and are still working on settling in. I am truly going to miss just jumping in the car on Saturday morning and heading for Pelham! I still plan on attending the dive 'n' dines and diving with you guys when my schedule permits.
I'd love to come to the DUI Dog rally next weekend but I don't think I can get away with it since I've been in California all last week and this weekend. Uh, I'm really gonna need that dry suit for winter diving now! Sub zero weather in January / February up here.

Have I been diving this weekend in Cali you ask? We'll of course! Today we dove the HMCS Yukon and she was beautiful. I'll send you the link to the pictures once my buddy gets 'em posted. The funny thing about diving here is that often when conditions aren't the greatest topside, they are excellent at depth. We had about 3 to 5 foot swells today which was pretty rough on a lot of the divers. About half the boat was seasick and the entry and exit back on deck was a little tricky. You just wanna get down there quick. As I descended I just kept hearing the voice of a submarine captain saying "Dive, Dive, Dive!". Once at depth the vis was 30'-40' which is really incredible for here. Very little current and very little surge. We expected quite a bit more surge with the waves above but not today. I wish you guys could have been with me. At $90 for a 2-tank boat trip (air included) to some of the best wreck diving in the world, you just can't beat it. Now there are some trade-offs. The bottom temp was 50F at 90 fsw, but for you quarry divers, you should be used to it by now. You can really feel it "warm up" to 54F at safety stop depth too!

Clay, Denise, keep me posted when you guys plan another trip to dive the Mighty-O. I'd like to go in May, but I have to come back to San Diego the weekend before Memorial Day weekend and I'll probably stay thru Memorial Day. Early May or Late May works best for me.

Take care and stay in touch.

Cameron

Great to hear from you Cameron!! I am jealous of you getting to dive the beautiful wrecks there except for those temps. I know I couldn't handle that without a drysuit. I would like to wait until June to do the Oriskany again. Since I have already done it a couple of times I would like to wait until the weather is warm and the water temps are warmer and really enjoy it. :)

Thanks! :D

Hey everyone! Well it's the dreadful time of the year to go visit my mother-in-law. And I was thinking, what better time would it be then to take a dive. I will be in Monticello, AR on May 9-12. Can someone please help me out? Is there anything out there that would be worth seeing? I've heard of "Big Lake" but please forgive me if that's wrong. I'm good on gear just minus the tanks, so any shops nearby? Thanks to anyone that can help me out. :D

I'm sorry Az. I don't know anything about that area. Maybe someone will come on here and help you out. :)
