What is your favorite scuba magazine?

i dont know which ones i get but i enjoy them all.
i get DAN's magazine, PADI's magazine, and 2 others.
gives me inspiration between dive trips. :blinking:

For technical/historical/exploration dive(s) and magazines that go beyond the usual fluff, equipment/retail reviews and travel
slant:

If you look for travel ideas and bathroom reading, Scuba Diving is....ok....but if you were the kind of kid who read about and dreamed of Space Travel, discovering lost cities and sunken ships, etc.:

Advanced Diver Magazine. The same assessment overall.

I hate Rodales even though I'm still a recreational diver. Diver magazine out of Canada is
much better. Man, I sure miss the "Skin Diver" magazine of the 1970s and earlier.

My favorite mags are Sport Diver and Scuba Diving, because they make me laugh (until I cry) every month with all the totally wrong things they say about Hawaii and Hawaii diving.

I get Alert Diver (DAN's publication) which I like alot, I get Dive Training, which I also like quite a bit (especially the Dec. issue on Sharks and Humans), and I get Scuba Diving magazine (which is just so so IMHO, though I do like the Lessons for Life section quite a bit).

They all seem to have their good points and bad points, take a look at all of the ones you can and then decide which ones to subscribe to. I'll most likely keep my Alert Diver and Dive Training subscriptions, but I'll let the Scuba Diving Magazine lapse...maybe...ok I probably won't.

Oh yes, I also read CA Diving News (which I like A LOT), but I am not subscribed. I just pick up the new issues at my LDS. Gives me an excuse to go there...like I need another one...
