I have a couple of old Oceanic Alphas that I used for dive charters in the 90's. Never had a problem with them.

Both of our Oceanic computers died in less than 80 dives. Yes, they were replaced, no problems there, but it was a PITA when they went down.

You'll be lucky to get a response and if you order anything directly from them -
I was under the impression Oceanic doesn't sell direct.
Good impression: THEY DON'T SELL DIRECT. They never have and I don't think they ever will.

I've used lots of Oceanic. My impression is regs - good, BCs - good, computers... I've had too many troubles with the veos and their predecessor, and I've seen suuntos in the same usage situations last a long, long time. I'm going to straight 2 guage consoles and wrist mount computers from here on, I'll give the Geos a try since they aren't the puck style to see if they last as long as my friends mosquitos.

How do Oceanic products, mainly regs stack up when compared to other brands? Are they dependable? thanks

We use Oceanic for school gear. Rignth now it's 10F outside, and ALMOST 32 in the lake :D

And yes, Oceanic functions flawlessly!

ive had issues with thier customer service
I've enjoyed excellent service with them, with the exception of one time, one employee - and I don't have enough there to go into detail.
their also always recalling products
I have a reg recalled, caca happens. Covered for free.

Had that happen to me, too. Replace ASAP, no questions. They're very good electronic gizmos, but not pacemakers - made to good quality but as cheaply as possible for the public who screams BEST PRICE!!

I have had a couple of others die on me out of warranty, replaced for a small fraction of the cost of a new one.
Very good product
AWFUL _ THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
You'll be lucky to get a response and if you order anything directly from them - Bet you, you will never receive it even after a confirmation that they received your order!!!!!!!!!!
3 Times - 3 different items. Need I say more????????
You know who you really ordered from? Oceanic does not sell direct.

BTW, I still dive the reg, two of their computers, their fins, their BC, their folding snorkel, maybe some others stuff, and so does my home dive bud. Like 'em. ;)

As stated above, you didn't order from "them" (=Oceanic). Please adress the shop you ordered from. Bet you, you'll find the sinner there, not with Oceanic.

Oceanic DOES SELL DIRECT!!!

OK, let's get organized here:

KOMPRESSOR, you and DandyDon are on Torch duty. Figure 15 total in case we have one burn out early.

I have a 5 gallon can of Kerosene.

We'll need a dozen or so additional villagers. Tom Winters, can you go around and recruit about 10 more?

We'll all meet at the fountain in the center of town tonight at midnight.

Anything else we need? Food would be nice. Maybe someone will make us all sandwiches or something.
