I have no clue how to multi quote so I've deleted the confusion I unknowingly posted.

People that report too many posts get a "Thinner-skinned" rating and can't get to the "R" rated stuff.
:silly: Huh?! :11: A good member should Report as indicated, but you seem to label such a crybaby...?!

And a G, PG, R separation would also mean three softwares filtering sets.

I'm not sure I am following you. Are you saying the thread still is useful in that someone might come by and have an opinion they'd like to express? I don't think anyone said to close the thread, just that it had gone about as far as it can on the subject the OP made (and the various offshoots).

Are you waiting for input from SB management on the variety of issues that have been brought up here? I doubt they would post that here, as this is for feedback from members. I would expect a new and separate post from them with any changes in policy or reaction to the ideas brought forward.

And I seriously doubt this thread is being ignored by them.
I do not doubt, in any case Net Doc said so pages ago and I’ve no reason to doubt his word. I’m not attacking, no need to get defensive. My use of ignored is akin to; if we ignore them long enough they will go away.

The more people that speak up with their opinions the better informed a decision will be as what the members want. At this point there are roughly 4 days of this thread in existence.

This thread is being read by NetDoc, the Advisors and other staff members.

But (possible) policy changes are not implemented overnight.
The Anonymous Poster Boy was ripped down in 36 hours. Apparently due to opinions about who would want to post anonymously and not complaints about it’s being an option. 1st AN post #98 12/03 @ 10:am

No, my thought there was to keep folks from going around in the opt-in forums looking for things that they don't like and reporting them.

Bastard and SOB are a couple I never use.

The ability to employ eloquent profanity doesn't demand its use in general conversation. Even though quality communication without it does take a bit more effort than the common tongue, and is to a large degree becomming a lost art, taking the time and effort to form your thoughts without resorting to vulgarities does have the distinct advantage of giving the appearance of civility and respect for your audience, even if you have neither.
:)
This is what I truly don´t get...I might agree that an eloquent insult can almost be a work of art but for the purposes of this board and moderation?

Calling someone an idiot or saying that "someone has their head stuck so far up their rectum that neither gps nor caveline will be enough for them to find their way out"...are both about equally rude to my mind, the fact that one is allowed and the other isn´t just seems silly...if anything, the former has the advantage of being brief and wasting less space (which is what some seemed very concerned about)...if you dislike insults you should be just as incensed about the use of the latter as of the former...otherwise you´re mostly being a stuckup snob, IMO (no offence)...

Personally being called an idiot by someone behind a keyboard isn´t much of a blip on the radar of my conciousness... I´m firmly convinced that I´m not and idiot and anyone who thinks so is "obviously" not the sharpest tool in the shed  If someone adds me to their ignore-list? Well, that´s their loss I say! :) Some people annoy me a lot but I have yet to put anyone on my ignore-list...I´m sure it´s caracter building....

No worries. I have a TLS that's pretty abrasion resistant. Bring on the R + + Threads! :D

I feel disenfranchised. I also feel bloated. You gonna help with that too??

They got pills for that, ya know ... with the oil of Aphrodite and the dust of the Grand Wazoo ... and ya might not believe this, little fella, but it'll cure your asthma too ...
