its insane how quickly time is going!!!
Thanks. I gotta call the electronic store to see if they have that adapter.
Tell me about it. I am in PANIC mode. I gotta call the electronic store to see if they have that adapter. Now I'm worried about the weight of my luggage. You are only allowed 44lbs on the plane from Cairns to Cooktown.:11:

Everywhere in the world generally has different plug ins than the good old USA....Target or Walmart in their luggage section should have a unversal plug that costs about $9.

for me, 44lbs would cover the emergency chocolate for a week away

just keep visualizing arriving on the boat, everything is great and you are gonig to be diving the GBR!!

I have a whole little bag of those attachments. They use to be hard to find, now it seems they are quite common.

i know at sydney airport - there are half a dozen shops that sell the adapters (for aussies going overseas) so im assuming your airports are the same

If you are worried about small electronic items like cell and camera battery chargers, you will need a plug adapter only. If you were taking something motorized you would need a voltage converter. Big difference in weight, size and cost.

If you look on your cell charger, or even laptop power supply you will see where it says "110/240". I would double check those before you go out and make your purchase. And like Lorraine says, they sell them everywhere in Australia. They even sell them on grocery stores

Cheers

I don't use a hair dryer so I don't worry about voltage stuff. I checked all my chargers before I went to Thailand and they all say 110-240 so I'm cool there. I just found out that the boat has European style outlets, the round 2 prong things so I'll get that adapter too. Thanks for all your help guys.:10:

Ellen some places will sell you a kit for $25 to $35. They now have a universal plug....that is all in one and will save you 6oz of packing......like I said Walmart and Target usually has them.
