does anyone out ther still not have a cell
could you go without having a cell phone

i've left mine at work, there's no way i'm going back in to get it, so i'll be without it until tuesday :D
it's got me thinking about ditching it
it bugs me work calling after hours, my ex being able to bug me
then there's junk telephone sales calls

LOL Im addicted to messanging, texting, internet, bulletin boards, phone calls, and emails. There is no way I could ditch the celly. Although I have given up having a home phone. I use the time Im at home to relax from the internet.

you can always have it, and turn it on only when you want to call someone, or are expecting a call you really want. That's pretty much what I do. Until recently I had a really old cell phone that didn't hold a charge very well so didn't have much choice, but I finally got a new one and pretty much still do the same. I'm just not a cell phone person. (but not a luddite - I'm rather attached to my PDA with wifi... )

im always surprised by how easy it is to loose the mobile habit when we go to places where they dont work but i notice the moment we are back with cell coverage i dig it out of the bag and turn it back on

*sigh* i remember the good old days when they didnt even exist

Yeah, I remember those day too.

Having car trouble meant sometimes waiting hours for someone to stop and give assistance OR walking to the nearest phone.

Whew...those were the days. :shakehead:

TWICE this month my mother sent me a text message to tell me family members had died!!!!! :shakehead:

Eh, I have a cell phone and a dorm phone, and generally I get about one call a week....:(

But in the spring, I work for a music festival, and it's important to be reachable, so it gets used a good bit more, then.

One of the doctors I work with calls it the "Guess Who Died" game. His parents play it everytime he goes home for a visit.

Inevitably, it's followed by a discussion regarding gastro-intestinal irregularity.

Everyone in the family ( wife and both daughters) had cell phones but I didn't. My wife gave me one wednesday because she said she got tired on never being able to find me when she needed me .......... now I just need to remember to turn the phone on or face a mad wife when I get home.
