oh i don't know. if you are not a phone guy, then better not have a phone at all. or have one and refrain from giving out your numbers to anybody.

it is a little irritating to be calling someone and they're not picking up the phone nor getting back at you when they can because, well, theyre not "phone people"
 
When the blackout occurred a couple of summers ago in Eastern Canada and Northeastern US, cellphones (mine included) wouldn't work. We were told this was because the cell phone networks' repeater stations didn't have emergency backup generators to keep signals going. Whatever, no workee despite phone being fully charged.

For me, this was a good argument for keeping a landline in my house.
 
it does seem life without a cell phone is an improvement

i see no need currently to get myself connected again

i'm going to see what other technology i can do without

tv is pretty rubbish, i think that's going to be next
