It's hard to say how I would react until the fear & adrenaline actually hit me...

You guys crack me up with your responses!:rofl3: If this is true, those people have no idea how lucky they were. I would have turned around, crapped :11:and then punch him in the nose and swim away as fast as possible. ;)
 
I really want to hear the DIR response for THIS situation. I'm told they practice for EVERYTHING that could POSSIBLY happen!

I cannot comment on DIR itself, but if I saw that *and* had doubles and a long hose, I'd go to my backup, close the isolator, unwrap my long hose, intentionally make it free-flow, and hope the 14-foot wide (7-foot radius) giant bubble monster is unexpected enough to make the shark think it would be better to go eat something a bit less annoying. (Not necessarily in that order, of course.)
