Hi gang, not everyone is a part of the Facebook groups where I shared this. Wanted to share it here to show that it was possible to rework the OEM cable into a 4-pin AK monitor. I think if you wanted to have the OEM do it it's a few hundred dollars or more. Likely worth it for a guaranteed professional outcome. But if you're capable it can be done at home.

From the factory there is a pu resin potting filling the cavity. I plan to finish with something similar.

This is my secondary Defender cable that @211ratsbud offered to take a stab at fixing. :) I actually have 2 broken secondary cables and wanted to have a Defender connector to 4-pin AK so I could run a NERD or another Petrel 3 4-pin AK on my unit.

I tried sourcing the connectors but I had no luck. I believe they are made in-house at IQsub but I am happy to be corrected. I looked for them for a while and IQsub will not sell them directly to me (at least in the US)

I tried to take one apart but they are potted / epoxied together but it seems with the right application of heat and persistence you can get them apart. :-)
