How long can you store scrubber in the original canister?

As far as I know scrubber has an expiry date. Did anyone make a test about this? I can hardly imagine sofnolime in a closed canister can loose its capacity.

We had the similar discussion about sofnolime storage after first use. I hope there is a similar scientific test.

You mean "hardly imagine" ? My practice shows that fresh lime in sealed canister can be stored indefinitely. "Some" time ago ( relatively ten years) i've used a 26kg can of sorb produced in 1968.
No problems. Often we use second-hand medical sorb expired 5-10 years. Same - no problems if can is sealed intact.

PS I know no any scientific test about sorb capacity during prolonged storage.

Consider two variables in your answers: chemistry and the cost of liability.

You can store stable chemicals for a long time provided that you're following proper storage procedures that prevent continuous reactions. However, would you want to go into an operating room as a patient knowing that medical sorb is 20 years old?
