Yea, it sounds like the same deal as IST and ODS being the ODM for Tusa/Scubapro’s soft goods(fins/masks) and HOG/Deep6/DGX. Scubapro does make their regs outside of Genoa, Italy(I think Mares/Head, Dive System and Cressi are nearby) but the small parts can come from anywhere from within the EU. Some Tusa regs are made by Scubapro, only their high-end compact one is made in Japan.

I think Huish has Atomic regs assembled in Orange County, CA. In Atomic’s marketing they were proud of it. Oceanic/Zeagle might be made in Italy or Taiwan.

If were mentioning brands that source regulators and other products from Asian manufacturers, don't forget DiveRite, Hollis, Oceanic, Zeagle, Atomic, Sherwood, and Genesis just to name a few. Of course its a range of variability, with brands like Nex just slapping their logo on an ODM reg already available elsewhere, DiveRite/Hollis/Oceanic/Zeagle just window dressing a Apeks DST/DS4, and others actually offering unique products like Atomic or Deep6 who do a lot of their product development in house.

Fixed it for you. Corrections in bold.
*are made by Ursuit.

And are Ursuit Oy .
There. Fixed it for you corrections in bold. :yeahbaby:

They were happily called Ursuk Oy until an American turned up with a multi million dollar order. And here's me thinking it was us lot that were the "two countries divided by a common language."

It says something for our humble EU global trade position when in Finland where they make the finest dive suits in Europe and yet have to change the name because of the appalling risk of our American cousin partners to abbreviate words and use slang.

Then one day, Country A said, hmmm, since we pay for your defense,
Hang on in there sunshine the USA made a lot of money from us lot British tax payers in repayment for the loans made to us by America and Canada during World War 2. We were and still are very grateful for your help and support. But it was a loan not a free gift and we paid you back in full.

In fact it was only in December 2006 that we made the last and final payment to you. We settled our debts to you and to Canada full and final. Now in detail the money we paid back was almost double what was originally borrowed. So maybe you can cut us some slack here and consider why hit us with punitive tariffs.

Maybe you could ask Afghanistan for all that kit back you left behind for them to resell to terrorism. Just tell your commander in chief from us to cut us some slack here or we may have to plough up your golf course in Scotland and start farming food.

Canada also gave, not loaned the UK a billion bucks in WW2 as well as a loan of 700 million, not to mention joined the fight right away. Just saying, while your PM was quick to support the US president regards Canada becoming the 51st state.

Anyhow... At least the King of Canada has shown support for us and his wife is your queen and not ours legally, so there is that

Heck Cerich. I am well aware it is impossible explain to the American public the concept of a Commonwealth of Nations.
But Canada has been part of the British Commonwealth since 1931 together with a number of other British Overseas territories, and Crown Dependencies. The head of which is King Charles but for your term queen I'm not sure that term sits well with the British establishment as a whole.

Camilla is the wife of King Charles so her title is Queen Consort as she is the wife of the King. Although being his second wife did require some interpretation. For comparison our late Queen Elizabeth II was Queen Regent.

Confused you will be but for a better explanation and for the benefit of Americans: Queens is something you get late at night outside New York Subway stations. :giggle:

Not all Americans are unaware, many many are …

Oh Lex, surely you jest. Most Americans have no inkling about what you speak. They could tell you intimate details of the sex lives of the competitors on the latest edition of America’s housewives of “x” or who won a football draft pick. History not so much. I doubt they could find Australia or GB on a map.

I did say “not all”

Camilla was Queen Consort for only a short time, the consort part was HM QE2 however at the coronation HM C3 decided that his wife would not us the term consort but just be "The Queen" .

The reason I said that she is not "queen" (Consort or not) of Canada is that our (Canada) legal order of precedence does not include any royal but the sovereign (King Charles now) unlike the UK that does. They (Royal family members) still get to be called by their titles of course but it is all courtesy versus actual law in the UK. Of course, the legal entity of the King of Canada is not the same legal entity as King of UK either even if the same person represents both crowns.

Regardless, all that aside, it is obvious with the UK/US trade deal today that your PM throwing Canada under the bus and bending both knees worked, but as a Canadian to see the UK do so does piss me and many other Canadians off. (as did your comment that you paid your loans and it wasn't a free gift when we did indeed give UK the free gift of a billion bucks, went to war right away when we didn't have to and even borrowed and had to pay the states for loans as well-no gifts there).
