Darn.....once again I am in the ozone....I can fit two trims pouches on each band and still have the buckles facing in same direction...trim pockets slid tight away from buckle and against wing....what am I missing, probably a lot! Thanks...

Follow up question. Although they are not really designed to be dropped UW; do you mount the opening toward bottom of tank? Guess I could answer that myself; why mount them such that during normal dives gravity could rob you of a weight if not considered dropable weights...my dropable weights are in waist band weight pouches and weight belt. Do any of you plan to drop the trim weights UW?

Would add that the more tail on the cam buckle the higher the chance of something snagging it and opening the buckle.....

Yeah..... I'm a bit abnormal in that I dive a back-mounted 19cf pony with the Quick-Draw system on the starboard side so no room for any pockets over there. On the port side I have two of the Large HOG Utility pockets. The top pocket holds my DryFob XL with ACR - PLB, signal mirror, whistle and about 15-20 ft of paracord. In the bottom pocket I keep a water bottle filled to the brim with fresh water. FYI....That HOG Large pocket fits the DryFob XL like it was literally custom made for it.

Wow! Good job thinking outside the box! In or around the Sound with those tidal currents all that could be a "life saver"....never thought of carrying my InReach or ACR on a dive, but then again I dive off the shore and nobody around to come get me, dive solo..

Not planning to drop any weight underwater.

With single-tank wetsuit diving I could swim up and be positive on the surface without using my wing. (This is possible because I am neutral at 15 ft and reserve pressure. Any shallower and I'm positive. Lungs easily compensate for any non-reserve gas weight.)

For drysuit diving, it would take a failed wing and failed drysuit before I needed to drop weight. That's pretty unlikely, but enough lead is ditchable.

and then under the extra pushbike tube slices they go for when one cracks up and breaks

one day probably maybe in a year or two or not or sooner or later or sometimes not at all

If not, then an inch of inner tube would solve that problem. The cam action is what holds the buckle closed. The Velcro is simply to keep the tail from getting caught/pulled.
Do you think that would also work with this type of tank strap?

I like those bands a lot and have the Aqualung version on my single-tank rig. No issues putting on two trim pockets on the same band.
The only problem is that the band is still too long. It overlaps one of the pockets. I'm wondering if, with these bands, there would be any problem cutting them shorter and then using a piece of inner tube to secure the free end.
