Sure I'd dive it. But I wouldn't buy one.

His head says diaphragm, but his  still belongs to the piston.
Heck! He converted me from diaphragms to pistons (well ease of diy problem tracing was the big seller)

OP
I’m very Scubapro biased myself, but that’s more for diy service reasons (not that it’s not possible with Mares; I’m invested in a big stock of vintage stuff that’s all)

I have lots of love for the g260 that I got when I started with technical diving, the mk19 is quite nice but heavy like a ton of bricks, unless you need a swivel turret (for sidemount for example)+ the cold water requirement I wouldn’t recommend it as an optimal choice (for travel for example)
(I use mk19s btw myself)

I don’t have much Mares experience so can’t say, but I hear (from @rsingler ) that their diaphragm 1st stages have the best IP stability in the world, I’m very tempted to try one

How much does it weigh vs. MK17? You guys make it sound like you need a forklift to dive with it.

When diving it’s not a big issue (maybe some trim deviation), just carrying 2 mk19s (or mk20s for that matter) to travel for sidemount diving is no fun
Mk19e: ~700g
Mk25T: ~360g
Mk10: ~440g
(Luggage scale, take with a grain of salt)

But strictly speaking, compared to the mares (mk11evo weight class), it’s a big difference

(@BoltSnap dont get me wrong, I’m taking the SP every time, just giving OP thinking points to make the right choice for their case)

Mares is good stuff no doubt but between these it would have to be G260 with a Mark 17 Evo II or a G260 with a Mark 11 Evo or a C370 with a Mark 11 Evo.

If a super deal is offered on a Mares and you are not headed in a technical or serious "recreational" direction, there is nothing wrong with a Mares regulator.
