You can fit a C-Bite style mouthpiece over the Poseidon, just have to get them hot first. Water coming out of electric kettles works perfectly.

You can't put a stop on the purge, because it has nothing to do with how far they are depressed. It is the nature of a servo-assist. You take extraordinarily low WoB and the consequence is the purge can be a bit more violent than you are used to. It is no different than on a standard second stage where you go and push the lever down all the way.

If you're planning on FFM, you are better off just getting a dedicated FFM with regulator. They work better. That said, you can get adapters for the Poseidon mouthpiece sizes, they're out there. Why the Drager/KM48 over an OTS or the Poseidon Atmosphere?
