But now the numbers are dropping. Help those little fuсkers so at least a few more can make it!

And again the whole idea of "we can help them lay eggs, we can help protect the eggs, but once they hatch we can't interfere as they get butchered, not even a little bit" just doesn't resonate with me.
Just do the math. A single egg layer producing 200 to 600 offspring per year. If left unchecked, you cannot have one turtle reproducing into hundreds every year. That's like lionfish in the Caribbean. And we ARE helping them.
