There’s plenty to do and see here, but a lot of the best stuff is below 130’. Not everyone’s cup of tea.
The vast majority of divers aren't going deeper than that, probably not even nearly as deep as that.

Your detailed knowledge of Florida geography is laudable but this thread is for folks who are flying in to Florida and need an easily understood land-based reference point from which to launch.

While striving for geographical precision is normally best, in this case too much detail may confuse out-of-state divers. For example, some divers want to explore the Hydro so they book a hotel near Deerfield Beach only to find their charter boat is all the way down in Pompano Beach.

Well, that’s my rationalization anyways because my edit feature timed out 😄.

Yeah, like you said specificity is usually better. I have started threads on just Lauderdale By The Sea, and Dania Erojacks. Not like there is some prohibition from starting another thread, North Broward/South Palm or whatever, no biggey. Hydro Atlantic mentioned with Pompano just feels like I am using the wrong pair of reading glasses. Besides its not like everybody doesn't have a cellphone telling them their exact position on the planet.

I know @DiveFlag = Target was out on an SFDH boat today. Hopefully he chimes in.

Thinking ahead a couple of weeks, I may book Hydrotherapy for a trimix dive on the HydroAtlantic (or other comparable depth) on Saturday, 15 March.

ya'll are talking boat diving. Broward County also has some pretty decent beach diving as well. Now some may digress the health or color of the corals on beach dives, however, for the price of a tank of air and paid parking, it's worth a mention.

I want to apologize up front to @Scuba_Jenny because I'm about to sound tone deaf about the shore diving.

I booked the Hydrotherapy for 08:00, Sat, 15 Mar.

Requesting the HydroAtlantic wreck.

I'm intending to dive a mix of 21/35 (4400 liters total available) and use 50% and 100% to decompress. Some will argue two deco gases is overkill but I want the practice switching gases.

@VsubT - Game?

I’m definitely looking forward to doing some Broward County shore diving one day!! I should have when I lived in Boca but to my own shame, I unfortunately did not.
