Christmas day/night at Blue Lagoon should be interesting!
You can do 3 tanks per day, just let them know that is what you want. There are no night dives as they wouldn't be able to find the wrecks.Looking at the beginning stages of a trip for 2027... BLR do they offer more than 2 tanks a day? We like to do at least 3 tanks with the possibility of a night dive as well or 2x 2 tank trips per day. One of my dive buddies gets super restless if it's just two morning dives and then done so that would be a big reason to go with liveaboard instead for us.
I am planning to be in Truk for 4 days of diving in mid April on my way back from Palau. About to book with the Blue Lagoon. When were you last there? I am a recreational diver and can only dive 100 feet for med reasons. Will I still to able to see a lot? So great Diving, Great guides, hotel was good enough? Thanks, BillI just got back from spending a couple of weeks at Blue Lagoon. The diving and guides were amazing. The hotel was good enough. They don't have hot water, but the water is warm since it is 85 degrees everyday.
Most of my group had functional AC in their rooms.
I would go back, it was a great trip.
Been there six times and done 96 dives on the wrecks, including virtually all of them (only a couple not done due to weather conditions every time we tried). My experience contradicts yours. Between Blue Lagoon and Odyssey, I dived pretty much all the wrecks within rec limits that are worthwhile in Truk during a 2 week trip last year. See attached logbook showing depths. The half dozen or so that are shallower than 100' don't hold a candle to the deeper stuff.
Sure you could stay shallower and not do any penetrations and look at some of the wrecks from 30 feet away but I wouldn't be satisfied with that.
I was there for two weeks in November.I am planning to be in Truk for 4 days of diving in mid April on my way back from Palau. About to book with the Blue Lagoon. When were you last there? I have a loop recorder under my skin. It is certified to 100 feetPlease explain the medical condition that creates a hard stop at 100' depth that would suddenly be an issue at 101'.
