I use an aqualung comfobite mouthpiece. Mine came in a two pack with a reusable locking band very similar to scubapro's locking band. The nice thing about the reusable locking band is you don't have a nub from cutting a zip tie. I tried a seacure moldable mouthpiece but that made me gag.

The mouthpiece worked fine yesterday. The bad thing, or maybe good thing, is that it didn't matter. The dive had a pretty long surface swim in a current. Two of us were at least semi-experienced and could get to the drop point without too much trouble. A couple other guys were not strong enough and started to get swept away. So, we aborted the dive and got those two guys back to the shore. Oh, well. But I don't consider that a failure since we all made it back. Having to abort a dive like that is a new experience for me. We probably could have just gone along the bottom to avoid some of the current, but considering how quickly we got separated, that wasn't an option. Learning something new every dive happens in a lot of different ways.
