Can an M4/3 setup be as versatile as TG6 for macro & wide?

I have a TG6 with housing, 1 strobe, & the Backscatter air lens. I also have an E-M1 MKII but no underwater stuff for it. I've been thinking about getting the 12-40 pro lens which seems to be a popular underwater choice.

I like that I can do kinda-wide and macro with the TG6 with my current setup or I could get the wider backscatter lense and be able to change between macro & wide by just screwing the lens on underwater. If I had to choose, macro is definitely my favorite but when something large swims by you want to be ready.

Is it possible to get this much versatility with the E-M1 MKII while diving or do you have to choose what you're going to shoot ahead of time? What options are there to be able to shoot either underwater?

M43 can do all and more of what the TG6 can do but it will cost more, far more.

Yes. You can use a wet wide angle with a bayonet mount on your M43, and change much faster than you can with TG6. I'm not just guessing...I have both.

Yes but for some lenses and not others. You will have to plan what to buy to do what you want.

It depends on the lenses. I was looking at the Nauticam port chart, for the 12-40 lens, you can't do macro and WA U/W. You can do it with a 30mm. You can do 30mm, 150Deg WA with the 30mm.

The WA wet lens is only $2200

There are other lenses you can do Macro/WA but I don't remember them.

Ok, thanks for the link. I'll do some looking. I was expecting high prices but dang, $2200 is no joke. At least if I know what I need I can keep an eye out for 2nd hand deals.
