I used to assemble industrial racks full of electronic equipment (lots of cable management) and literally everyone used a very specific set of cutters for zip ties that will actually cut them flush. A lot of snips out there might call themselves flush cuts but have a bevelled edge. This was very necessary when you're building a rack that's packed tightly, because if any of the ties are cut at an angle you'll pull out your arm covered in bloody scratches.

The Klein cutters also cut flush. Cheaper ones do, too, but they don't last.

I bought these reusable ties from Amazon. I take extras and give them to the dive guides. I hope this link works.

100Pcs 8 Inch Heavy Duty...

With the Cobra Ties, the tag end drops into protected recess & can no longer poke.

SKU: L8S0C is mouthpiece size.

It's worth getting the slightly longer sizes, either L11S0C or L14S0C (11 or 14 inch). Same width so they're functionally equivalent once snipped, but the extra length makes it easier to grip and snug things up really tightly without resorting to pliers.

There is a special place in hell for people that use zip ties for cables in a rack instead of velcro.

Velcro would have been impossible with the quantity and close proximity of what we did (not permanent install work, but assembly for events lasting anywhere from 2 weeks to 10 years)
